offers free Internet training. They offer the following three courses.
They claim that each course takes about 45-60 minutes if you do all the
exercises, but you can skim through the highlights in 5-10 minutes.
"Doing Research on the Internet": Learn how to find
information online to prepare Bible Studies, Sunday School lessons, sermons and
just about anything. You'll also learn how to get better results from the major
Internet "search engines."
"Your Church on the Internet": This interactive technology
demonstration will spark your thinking about how you might use audio, video,
e-mail, chat rooms and more to enhance and expand your current ministry.
"Using the Internet Safely": Learn some of the dangers of
using the Internet and how to protect yourself and your family while using it.
This session will discuss filters, "cookies," history files and more.
The site is not Lutheran, but you can get a good idea of tools and tips churches
can use to share their message on the web. It is also a good overview of various
Internet resources.
