Outreach ‘101’ (workshop) – This workshop, using the ‘Outreach Quotient ©’ tool, helps congregations understand their interest in and motivation for outreach. It teaches leaders how to identify the Holy Spirit’s gifting of the priesthood of believers, the real needs of the local community and how matching gifting and community needs provides a relational strategy for introducing people to Jesus and the congregation.

The Entrepreneurial Congregation (workshop) – This workshop teaches church leaders to recognize opportunities to share, serve and reinvigorate their congregation by using entrepreneurial strategies and by looking through entrepreneurial eyes, eyes that aren’t satisfied with the status quo, eyes that are always looking for ways to make a difference.

Effective Leadership Teams (workshop) – Whether an elected/appointed volunteer or a called church worker, internal and external challenges can weaken any leadership team’s effectiveness. This workshop poses six essential questions about effective leadership and assists church leaders in shaping effective leadership strategies that work in their fellowship.

Pursuing Purpose (workshop) – Many churches today have a mission or vision statement that often identifies a list of activities such as ‘preaching the Word,’ or ‘sharing the love of Jesus in our community.’  These are great ‘activities’ but are they a statement of why the Holy Spirit has gifted a particular body of believers in a given location?  This workshop asks the tough questions that encourage church leaders to articulate a clear statement of purpose and the action steps that allow them to purpose that purpose.
Personal Witness (course) – LCMS Christians are well known for their willingness to give to those involved in missionary work at home and abroad.  At the same time, we – as individuals - are among the least likely of ‘main stream’ Christians to talk about our personal relationship with Jesus outside our immediate family. When asked why, there is one common answer … we don’t feel prepared to witness.  This course draws on a variety of excellent witness materials and organizes them in such a way that the student will be able to learn and practice at their own pace.  This course is ideal for individuals and can be adapted to a cell/home group or other format.

On Being A Disciple (course) – Western Christianity has been significantly informed by the Greek language and its stress on logic and ‘head’ understanding of theological and doctrinal issues.  This stress on intellectual understanding of God often produces Christians who want to ‘know what Jesus knew.’  The followers of Christ, as Near Easterners, came from another cultural understanding.  Their desire was to ‘become like their master.’  This course explores these cultural differences as well as examines what Scripture and several significant Christian writers have to say about becoming and staying a disciple or follower of Christ.  The course poses a series of essential questions that will impact the student’s understanding of membership in the institutional church as well as her/his relationship

Identifying and Pursuing Ethnic Ministries (workshop) – This workshop is for those who sense an opportunity to become involved in serving those from another culture, but don’t know how to get started.  This workshop teaches participants how to identify ethnic ministry opportunities as well as an introduction to time honored as well as unique programs that serve real needs and share the Good News of Jesus.

Enfranchising’ our Youth (workshop) – It’s no secret that the majority of our youth are leaving the church after high school, never to return. We can point to many issues in modern society as the cause but seldom do we consider that we might be our own worst enemy in terms of attracting and keeping our youth.  This workshop looks at the common ways congregations ‘disenfranchise’ youth from future participation in the life of the church.  Learn how to turn the corner and make a difference with this vitally important group!
