Purpose: A three year revitalization process for a local church which brings
renewal to the lives of leaders and the creation of a five year plan to
reach the community and beyond.
It's about identifying,
developing, and supporting local leaders to do the work that God has called them
to.
Heading this team is Denny Langston, Director of Expanding Mission/Healthy
Congregations.
Pastors from
the across the NOW were trained by Church Resource Ministries
(an
organization to develop leaders to strengthen and to multiply churches) to
become Focused Leaders and themselves train pastors in a network system. Training
for the first year consisted of:
·
Examining your past
·
Clarifying your future
·
Identifying resources that will facilitate future growth and development
Training is ongoing as they move forward from year one to year two and so forth.
Year two links with Natural Church Development.
The
NCD process shows us that the quality of
a church ministry is related to its quantitative growth.
The task
force meets with their respective network of pastors once a month assisting in a
mentoring process with these pastors. It brings personal renewal to the lives
of leaders and at the same time the creation of a five year plan to reach the
community and beyond.

As we enter 2006 those being mentored to are now finishing out the year and will
be ready to transition toward reformation of new Refocus Networks in the fall.
