Northwest
District Chaplains (the above pictures are chaplains from Lutheran Ministry
Services Northwest)

The Northwest District has a proud history, more than 50
years, of providing institutional ministry to communities and institutions.
As their mission statement reads:
|
The purpose of the NW District chaplains is to embody the church's compassionate concern so
that persons in difficult circumstances can be in relationship with God in
Christ
|
This page on the District web site offers easy
contact with chaplains around the District and easy access to information about
the John Lutthans Fund; a fund to raise money for scholarships in Specialized
Pastoral Care and Clinical Education (CPE).
Along with their regular hospital and institutional visits, chaplains
strive to meet the immediate needs of their communities. Many parish pastors
are also chaplains and connected with both fire companies or police departments
within their areas and minister to the daily needs of working in such extremes.
These chaplains also are busy providing their services to the community at
large. We have chaplains that are trained in disaster response and they are the
first to be called.
The NOW is blessed by the chaplains God has given us.
